Um. I don't quite know what to say. First of all, I read this book because I am a staunch believer in reading the book before seeing the movie. My wife has read all 4 (she did it is a week) and wants to see New Moon. I told her I had to read the books to see what all they hype was about. So I either caved or embraced my feminine side and read the book.
For the first 15 chapters I was completely and utterly sick of hearing about Edward and his eyes, lips, his chest etc. and Bella's inability to think clearly when in his presence. I was wondering where the book was going to go until they finally decided to play baseball of all things!
I enjoyed the whole story line about the Cullen's and their past. I throughly enjoyed the reminder of the book with the unpredictable twists with the tracker James. I am really up in the air about reading New Moon, I want to read it so I can go see the movie with my wife being that she lives with us 5 boys, however, I can't see whether or not it is worth my time to read any more sappy teenage vampire love depiction.
