The third book in the Outlander series holds just as much adventure as the first two. The reason Voyager didn't get 5 stars like the previous two is because I felt like this was a restart book. There were a few characters from the first two books but MANY more new ones that I had to get to know. I'm sure in the next books I'll come to like all the new characters since Gabaldon is superb at character development. You can tell that an incredible amount of research goes into each book.

I listened to the audiobook version with Ann Hathaway and she did an amazing job. Cabot is excellent at writing the exact way a 14 year old might write in a journal which often makes the passages hysterical. I think its great that Mia is at that ugly duckling stage where whe is tall and akward and then finds out she is a princess.

What a quirky little book. I saw this in my library and was attracted by the unusual title. It was quite a hilarious story about a cranky food columnist putting on a wedding for a mob princess and all the drama that ensues. Its refreshing to read a well written "dramady." Of course there are parts that I found a little too over the top but overall this book is a win.

This book started out slow. Maybe because I did not know the entire book was written in letter format. Once I got use to it, I loved the story. I'm impressed the author was able to convey all the emotions and connections of the people merely through letters. The one issue I had with the book is that the ending seemed to be a shotgun fix.

What did I just read!? At least this series is over and I can move on to other, hopefully better, books. The one thing Breaking Dawn has going for it is that the nauseating beauty descriptions are significantly cut down. On the other hand, I'd almost prefer that awful writing over what happened in the first half of the book. Everyone seems slighly off and out of character in this book. Maybe I was expecting too much.

It seems like most people like this book the best out of the four Twilight series books but I didn't think it was any more entertaining or better written than the previous two books. Maybe the novelty of the series is wearing thin at this point. Bella is so self-sacrificing, helpless, and follows Edward around like a puppy. Edward is so "perfect" its annoying. Edward is jealous one minute and then his jealousy magically disappears because he simply decides not be jealous anymore. I understand he is not human but I like characters that show normal emotion and stuggle through them. And there are still way too many descriptions of Edward's beauty.

This book was so good, I couldn't put it down and finished it in a day. The story picks up from Hunger Games with Peeta and Katniss back in District 12 and going on their Victors tour. I don't normally like sequels better than the first but in Catching Fire you are able to see how sweet Peeta is which is something I felt was missing in Hunger Games. The triangle between Gale, Peeta, and Katniss became more pronounced and I am anxious to see how that plays out. Such a suspenseful and addicting book. Its going to be hard waiting for the third book to be released.

I had heard good things about Hunger Games from a friend and found the idea interesting. I wasn't sure how gory it would be since it is about HG tributes trying to kill eachother, but I figured it wouldn't be bad since it is a YA book. The story is about Katniss who lives in the poor coal-mining District 12 who takes the place of her younger sister Prim in the Hunger Games. The boy, Peeta, who is chosen from District 12 is someone Katniss has to work the crowd with to gain sponsors but realizes she can't become too friendly because she will have to kill him in the end to win. Collins does a wonderful job setting up this country of Panem on what use to be North America. The one thing I didn't like was that the end of the book seemed incomplete and relied on there being a second book. I love book series but think each book should stand on their own as a complete story.
