My Husband told me about the movie and I was intrigued so I ordered the book. I had a serious Love/Hate relationship with this book! I usually read 1-3 books a week but this book took me 3 weeks to read! Not because it isn't good- it is. This book is most certainly the most interesting book I have read in a long time and yet it is also the most chilling book I've read in a very long time. The most squeamish parts (for me) had nothing to do with blood and gore...

Lindqvist's take on Vampires is refreshingly different! I am always pleased when an author changes things up from the typical.

The Characters...oh the characters! They are all flawed and some are truly sick.

I had moments when I felt I wouldn't finish this book. You'll especially understand this if you're a parent reading this at some points. However, the rest of the story had hooked me to go on. I wanted to finish this book to see what comes of Oskar and Eli.

My husband told me the movie had the best ending to a movie he's seen in a long time. I must agree, the end is wonderfully done.

I would recommend this book BUT don't say I didn't warn you that some parts are hard to stomach...even if you cannot stand blood and gore...those parts won't be the ones that haunt you!
