This book would have been a lot better if it were about two to three hundred pages shorter. The story behind the War of the Roses is not exactly a new one and most people know that King Edward survived to father at least two princes, and lived until his first son was in his early teens, so all the drama and "suspense" of the moment is lost each time Edward goes off to war and comes home safely. Yet, this is pretty much all that happens for the first three quarters of the book. The story behind the disappearance of the two princes in the tower is a fascinating mystery and Gregory's theory is as interesting as anyone's. The book becomes a lot more interesting once this mystery become the focus. The most intriguing part of Gregory's proposal is laid out pretty quickly, however, and that one part aside, the rest of the tale diminishes into nothing more than what is already widely known. Perhaps, I've just read one too many stories about the princes in the tower lol This book is bound to be more interesting to any reader who has not yet heard or explored the story. For those of us who have heard the story before, it is a fairly trite and unimaginative rehashing. ]]>
