Eye-witness accounts of the gospel are better proof than many histories that we approve as reliable history. Wow saying that Christ had only one good bit of advice just shows your bias toward anything Christian, there is plenty in the gospels that are brilliant and life changing advice(even if you disagree with the bible's divinity). Galileo had a very faulty theory that just happened to be right. As Dan pointed out? You only made a claim using Galileo and thats the universal one that everyone cites. Again I do give proof for Christianity creating science, because no other belief system back then supported it, how do you think Europe was so greater advanced than other civilizations? Secularism has committed many crimes, again Stalin with his millions. Hitler, while professing to be a Christian, did not in the least follow the bibles teachings thus he is not to be considered Christian. All the things I have stated can be proven by the books I cited. Yes Christianity did grow because of love, the 40% a decade growth is a accurate fact, not just wishful thinking. They grew because they cared for the sick during pestilences when the Romans could care less. This is a recorded fact based upon research. Even though it was adopted as the state religion there were still many people who practiced their pagan beliefs. I have also stated before that Christianity has indeed caused evil, but so has every other religion as well as secularism(and don't say it hasn't history proves otherwise). Many studies show that Buddhism's and Hinduism's main center of believers are centered around the area it was invented.

The Crusades were a defense against Islam spreading like wild fire, if nothing had been done then we all would probably believe in Allah and you wouldn't be arguing for atheism because it would mean death to you. Me being racist toward Islam? Are you kidding me? I'm not the one threatening to blow people up for not believing in God.

Saying Christianity had good propaganda is hilarious to me. It teaches you that you will be hate by all nations and to take it in humility and love. Does that sound like fun to you? Any man who burned down a village to convert them to Christianity is not following Christ's teachings enough.

So so far I have heard....evolution is plausible because it is. Christianity did not create science because that is not true...and Galileo would be put to death if he wasn't a Christian(never mind that you have no evidence for this in the slightest), because Christianity hates truth even though they are taught to believe in truth, they are told by God to reason. Of course what did I expect? Look I tried I really did , but it seems like you don't want to hear it.

The Bible is archeologically sound, it predates scientific discovery and because of its ideas and texts science itself was birthed from Christianity. People have tried to disprove it many times and have failed repeatedly, coming up with the simple argument that miracles are not real and God is a silly idea (as if that reasonably rules out anything at all?). What I love about the Bible is that when I open it up I know its real not just because of my feelings but because I know science proves it as well as logic.

I agree with you Andre the 'Book of Mormon' belongs on the shelf of religion because it is simply a interesting book filled with stories. The Bible however is not a religious book, in fact you could say that the New Testament abolished religion. Religion is normally a way to work your way to god. Christianity is dependent upon grace and God's love there is simply nothing we can do to be saved on our own. It is a book based upon God's love. I do not know what claims Mormons have for their 'holy book' but in my mind the Bible raps it all up pretty nicely on its own. We don't need another holy book.

Well the first five books of the Bible are hard to finish. The first book Genesis is about the fall of man, so of course you see the ruthlessness of humanity. Exodus is about God revealing his nature to the Hebrew peoples and showing them his laws(a very long list, that is in all reality impossible to follow). Read the rest of the Old testament and you'll get to see that God is very merciful yet just at the same time. Many times the Israelites deserve being destroyed yet God always had mercy on them when they repented. The Old Testament is about how perfect God is and how as humans we are basically evil, thus we can never live up to God's standards. This would be very depressing and kinda pointless to know if there was not the New Testament which shows us that God loves us, so much so that He died for our evil nature. The Bible gives a clear picture of humanities evil and how God deals with it, it shows that God really does love us and we are unworthy of his love. Yet we cannot earn His love it has already been given to us. All we have to do is believe on Christ(also getting to know Him) and be unashamed to proclaim his name to the world.
