We are endowed by nature and grace with extra ordinary activity; our corporal and spiritual passions are constantly excited. Our body must be supported by food and sleep, and if it is indulged, it desires to be cherished, it requires enjoyments and comforts, and the more its desires are satisfied the more they increase. The passions of the soul, is also violently excited by intercourse with others; love and hatred, hope and fear, joy and sorrow, wishes, endeavors, cares, expectations, and disappointments, which careen wildly through our hearts, like the waves of the sea, rising, falling, and rising again, and filling it with a burning desire for some good. The acquisition is to bring rest; and as soon as it is attained, fresh restlessness begins again.

The higher capabilities of the soul, the thirst for knowledge and science, the strong desire for eternal things, cause violent efforts and mental struggles; and we are utterly perplexed and distracted. Thus, if we were to attempt to satisfy all these wants, and to attend equally to those of the body, the heart, and the mind, then we often, surrender the attempt, and neglect the higher part of our nature to devote ourselves to the lower. Thus, no sooner than the body ceases to be subject to the soul then we fall straightway into dissipation, for we pursue fleeting earthly atoms, in the place of eternal unity, which is our true goal.

In short there are things, which should be and those which should not. Thomas Aquinas struggled , and thus we have his prayer, which is now coinced the Serenity prayer. May I suggest Ninjs, that you now or seek to know the difference.
Peace,

Bro Smith SGS

Perhaps you should consider this formulary, it will guide you into the correct segment. In what ever you choose, please consider that God is not a slot machine. that is to say, it is not as though you put in a prayer and out comes a blessing, in any relationship, there needs to be a clear understanding of what you offer, what your needs are and how you may faciliate your mate and the relationship. In the event you dismiss this, it will become a "use" situation.

Peace,

Bro Smith SGS

Good Morning
It would appear that perhaps Nathan, you are as a child telling your parent you are hungry, while denying every offer presented to you. In this same analogy, you are aware of a deep need to sasiated, yet cannot notate what it is. In this endeavour the need is your, since everyone else has their appetite satified.

Perhaps the nay saying is a fundamental ignorance of this same sort, for unless you may be able to prove your opinion, you surely may not be able to deny their love of someone you have not met. That is to say even though you have not met their parent, that does not mean that there is not one; for surely the individual is present. To quip something of someone you've not seen or spoken with, is a mere skeptical remark with no validity, and since they are complete, you are the only one in need.

Peace,

Bro Smith SGS
