The Host is easily one of the best books I've ever read.

The story, narrative style and writing style are solid and each page contributes substance in a manner that leaves you anxiously flipping to the next page.

There are a few things you should know before reading it: she doesn't use "Chapter 1" or "Chapter 2" to name each chapter. Instead, she uses one word that describes the content of that chapter so if you don't like spoilers, don't flip ahead of where you're at! You may also have to read the first chapter a couple of times to adjust to the style of narrative. Due to the intricacies of the story, the style is necessary but its qualities create intrigue. And for those of you worried that The Host is a young adult book, it's not. Although she's well known for the Twilight series, The Host is her first book for adults.
