My friend Chris Cunningham from Apple recommended this book as an intro to programming for the Mac Operating System and the iphone. First tried out the weRead facebook app, then discovered visualbookshelf which was better, but someon told me about goodReads - and I was sold! It's a social network separate from Facebook altogether, but publishes updates to facebook and twitter. I love apps like this. I've discovered some good reads from my contacts already (Seth Godin's Tribes and SnowCrash), just wish more people were on here.
