When I started to read this book I was a little prejudicial since I'm not very fond in showman's books. Anyway, for a reason or an other I ended up reading it. And it was surprising.
I wouldn't have thought that I'd like this book so much and the thought that this one could be so deep never crossed my mind.
But it is deep, indeed.
For sure this book won't change the literature course, but we can say that it is something worth to read. Like every book that challenges with pain and loss it's quite hard to read it without being caught, and I wouldn't say that I "enjoyed" it. I loved it.
Volo tried to show the human nature with simply words and he succeded. There is no attempt to be a poet or whatever, it's just a ironic look on life from the eyes of the main character. The emotions are so well told that I wonder if "Michele" is a portrait of the author himself.
Anyway, this book has good spots about life and self-help and I think that it could be really helpful for everybody to take a look on it.
