It took me a while to warm to this book but once it got going I really liked it. A tragic story within a story, this book could be the biography of VC Andrews. And I say this because The Thirteenth Tale is a story about a very famous author that decides to tell her story (truthfully) to an amateur biographer. And from the tragic, amazing yarn she weaves it's as if it's straight out of a VC Andrews book. With the suspected incestual siblings to the ghosts and abandoned children.
