The prose for Iron Council was a real turn off for me, Shannon. I like the fact that he is eager to try new approaches for each novel, even though he doesn't radically redefine it or anything (he's not that sort of stylist). It just didn't jize with me there.

The Scar is the most enjoyable as far as style goes out of all the New Crobuzon. I would agree!
