Hi Meghan! I just came across your comment on my page. Thanks for that. I hope you are having a great weekend and enjoying lots of good reading. Yes, Wuthering Heights...one day we will revisit. :)
Hi Meghan,
Thanks for the comment! I'm glad I joined the RG book club too and I've really enjoyed being part of it thanks to all of the members--including you, of course! It's nice to be your friend. Oh and happy birthday ;)
Hey Meghan,
Happy New Year to you too!
Yeah, the change has been one of great adjustment but I'm really loving living in another country, especially in a culture so far removed from American culture. My language skills in anything but English are close to zip, so that's tough... But learning Mandarin, however slowly, gives me a sense of pride and accomplishment.
What are your thoughts?
Sarah
Awesome, I think I will join you. I loved The Pillars. It was such a great book. Time to get my craft on lol :)
I would definately recommend picking up "The Historian" again. I'm usually not a vampire book fan, but the characters and storyline (Dracula as a self proclaimed collector and librarian of rare texts) intrigued me. Plus its a mystery as the main character(s) try to figure out what has happened to their loved ones. And hi! to you too, I'm always happy to find someone who is interested in similar things and can introduce me to new books :)
"A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out." (Walter Winchell)
Thanks for walking in at the right moment!
Piglet sidled up to Pooh from behind. "Pooh," he whispered.
"Yes, Piglet?"
"Nothing," said Piglet, taking Pooh's paw, "I just wanted to be sure of you."
I just added Freakonomics and the Ken Follet book on there :) I'll have to see if the library has those two. I'm almost done with my current book, I'm also reading the comic adaptation of Stephen King's Dark Tower series; it's okay but I don't think I'd recommend it to anyone. The dialogue is a little hokey and the narrator gets annoying.
Merry Christmas! Didja get any new socks? We can always have more socks.
Yay! I have joined the dark side, muahahahaha-*cough* *hack* *wheeze*
I'll be adding more books in the future. I hope my work's firewall doesn't block this site :-)
Hey :-)
I'm getting the hang of this place - but have a long way to go before i have all my stuff all cataloged.
Okay so, I can not explain how I did it, but I just finished the entire book. During the week of exams, and final projects on top of all my health and work stuff I had going on.
I was seriously ADDICTED I tell you! I couldn't STOP. I just kept getting more and more sucked in (Tom Builder dying totally had me gasping, did NOT see that coming).
Have you read the sequel yet? Or do you have any plans to?
Gah, I can't get over how much I enjoyed this book! It's been a really long time since I got sucked into a story like this.
Hey chica! You read 'The Pillars of the Earth' yes? My fiance has been telling me to read it for quite some time but we couldn't find it in his storage until like two days ago. I'd love to hear what you think about it! :)
Hello Meghan. Thanks for adding me as a friend.
I was in Beijing a couple years ago—stayed in a low cost hotel not far from the Forbidden City. The bed was a 2 inch foam pad on the floor, and my shower a tub and a hose—I loved it!
Have an adventurous day.
