1. While talking about the ideas/opinions others had of God, she would write positive things about that religion. Given how it many parts of the book are written you cannot be sure if she is paraphrasing that particular person or stating something she believes. After about 200 or so pages into the book, you get the feeling that she is pro-religion, but it doesn't matter which religion, any religion will suffice.
2. The second half of the book doesn't seem to be about much more than what leading thinkers thought of the God of whatever religion they were of. Just because these smarties pondered these ideas does not make them prevalent or popular with the populace. This made the second half feel like "A History of the Musings of God" instead of what the title suggests.
3. Lastly, she constantly stresses that religion is very important and that losing it is a bad thing; only there is never given any reason why. From what she wrote in the first part of the book it hardly seems like there's any truth to be found in the religions she talks about.
