The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
I liked this book, but I found it a little too deliberate a Catcher-in-the-Rye knockoff. It's a contemporary coming-of-age story with a likeable protagonist, some interesting supporting characters, and a simple, straightforward style of writing.

I didn't like this one as much as others did. I found that every time I picked it up, I couldn't remember it, and by the time I refamiliarized myself with all the characters, it was time to put it down again.
