Excellent way to tell a story about first world war. I thought it would be tedious but using the horse (sounds wierd but it worked well) to tell the story gave you all sorts of points of view you wouldn't normally have in one story. Funny to reread a book I couldn't remember anything about before or after reading it for the second time. Still considering why I liked it - probably the openness and honesty of the protagonist.
