Long distance runners: it seemed an other kind of species to me.
Yet, while reading this, I became intrigued by the subject.
Now, I can see why people run miles and miles. Now, I can see why people would want to participate a marathon.
Murakami participates several marathons. Once, he runned a distance of 100 km. No bullshit. I was completely blown of my feet. I didn't even realise this was physically possible.
Marakamifans be aware: tis novel ("diary" would be more accurate) has nothing to do with the books we all love Murakami for. This book shows a different Murakami. It shows Murakami himself.
