This book was not as enjoyable as Eats, Shoots & Leaves for two reasons. First, it was not quite as funny; I think I only laughed out loud twice. Second, and probably most importantly, instead of seeming to appeal to the general goodness and human kindness some think we all possess, Truss just comes off as an angry misanthrope. I agreed with a lot of what she was saying, but at certain points I found myself thinking, "Get over yourself."
