I fucking love this book.

I like how she plays with cliches around the lyric/the capital I Self voice, while being lyrical.

Also the use of Gertrude Stein all the way through is interesting.

Most of all, as a person who takes public transit a HELL of a lot, the descriptions of highways, traffic, being in suspended motion, are bang on.

I liked Half of a Yellow Sun too but felt it took a long to get into...but it IS a classic three act war novel, so the slowness is built-in and productive I suppose ]]>
