This book would have a 4 for the storyline, and a 1 for the writing, so I arrived at a comfortable 2 stars. It definitely made me want to read more into the series, but Meyer's writing lacked depth and development for her characters. Each person is mostly one-dimensional, and they remain that way throughout the book (save Carlisle, he seemed to be the only one with any character development throughout the series). I enjoyed the book and finished it very quickly. I would recommend it to young adults and women interested in a simple, decent romance novel. ]]>
