<about>First and foremost, as a fiction writer, I like to write about people from all walks of life. Often, when I write, I feel as if I'm transcribing dialog that I hear, rather than merely creating it.

Just as we do not all like or dislike the same people in the real world, we will not all like or dislike the same people in a novel. I believe most of us are some shade of gray -- as we are all flawed human beings and anything less would be terribly boring.

It's fascinating to me how readers perceive characters and their actions, especially ones I've created, as those are the ones with whom I have rather an intimate familiarity. I don't write necessarily WANTING readers to feel a certain way. I like to create stories and situations in which readers might ask themselves "What would I do in this situation?" or "What do I THINK I would do?"

One of my favorite questions to ask readers who have finished my current novel, CROOKED MOON, is: What do you think happened to the characters after the book ended? I am always very surprised by the answers -- and how many scenarios readers have thought about. We are are a product of our life experience and as different as we are the similar.

CROOKED MOON is the second novel that I have written but the first one published. My first-written novel, SQUALOR, NEW MEXICO, will be released in 2009. It is a coming-of-age story shrouded in family mystery.

At present time, I am working on a comedy/drama in the Chick Lit genre which I hope to have completed by spring 2009.

I have many notes for all kinds of books I would like to do -- but one can only do so much at a time.

As a reader, I enjoy fiction and non-fiction of a wide variety. I like to be absorbed in whatever I read; that is my most important criteria for a good read.

Although I am currently residing in Pennsylvania, I have also lived in New York and Los Angeles. I would very much like to relocate to Los Angeles in the future.</about>
