This book was a bit more saucy then Austen's other Novels, but it works. Edmond finally comes to his senses and realizes he loves Fanny.

OK. I like that it does not go into explicit details behind closed doors. For Historical FIction this is somewhat hard to find. It is the polotics, religion and marriage of those times that fastenate me, not the made-up love scenerios.

Required reading my sophomore year and it is really different. I read the book, then saw the play. It has been many years and I would like to read it again to see if I can understand why we had to read that book.

This was required reading my Sophomore year and it was a good book. I did enjoy the friendship between George & Lennie. Lennie is mentally disabled and George although much smaller in stature looks out for Lennie. The ending is heart wrenching.
