Didn't expect to like this as much as I did. Capote can string a sentence together with the best of them, though. I thought he might be a one hit wonder with In Cold Blood, which was genius as well as thematically and stylistically unlike anything he had done before. So I figured his early stuff, before he wrote such a transformative and career culminating masterpiece, wouldn't be on the same level; plus the subject matter was not my cup of tea. But now I understand why he was already a literary superstar before In Cold Blood. The man could flat out write....less
