yeah, that IS true, but he was still OLD. and his kids forgot about him. i guess the begining was really depressing, and the rest of the story never quite made up for it. it was like Bambi, except bambi's parents died and then thumper got thrown off a train. soooo.. in summary... life is good, then life is shitty, then it gets better, then it gets shitty again, then you escape from the nursing home, then you die. i think i knew that already. however... it does make me think i should come up with a plan to escape a nursing home if i ever find myself in one.
