It was actually the original title of Mere Christianity, before the publishers changed the title.

It's got some great stuff from a guy who's actually friends with guys like McLaren, Bell, Pagitt, Jones, etc. What he's trying to do is acknowledge the good questions being asked, problems being pointed out, etc. with the "traditional" church but he's also hesitant to go all the way in endorsing their proposed solutions.
