I've read most of the stories now, not in order, just jumping around. OMG this is an amazing collection!

 Johanna,
I went to etymology.com and found it hard to use. Whatever word I searched gave me a list of addresses for further search, but no direct answer.

I would really like to find a site where I can see regional expressions and colloquialisms of particular time periods, eg; Appalachia 1900.

Aw Paul, your stories can be scary. But would it hurt your feelings to learn that we don't find you personally scary?

What Henry? You don't want to be bait? Where's your sense of chivalry? Well, I think they had an escape route planned for you.

I agree with Paul. If it's not relevant to the plot or character development, then what does it add really? Many details are important and should be included. A woman told me today that her older uncle has lived in a small place for many years. The man is 6'5" tall and weighs 250+lbs. The shower in his place is so small, he has to wash one half of his body, then turn to the other side to wash. Unusual? Yes, and rather picturesque. Knowing this might make it understandable later in the story when the man gets stuck in a small space somewhere.
