Very early listening. Finished though the last 4 minutes of the audio was inaudible. I didn't really enjoy this book. Not sure if it was the characters, the story, the narrator. Something didn't jell for me. And I didn't think it would ever end. It seemed as if the author didn't want it to end.
I think I have read/listened to 3 or 4 Jance books and I've liked 1 thus far. Guess I'll give up on this one.

Read this one after reading Chelsea Cain's Evil At Heart. Very different stories. Cain's book was a couldn't put down page turner. Robb's was comfortably predictable, but a very enjoyable visit with the characters.

Well, I selected mystery bookshelf but that doesn't quite cover this series. I can't figure out what it is that makes me continue on. It's extremely graphic and gory. I certainly couldn't sit through a movie version. But, for whatever reason, I liked this one the best. There's not a great deal of actual Gretchen, but she hovers about. I think it's journalist Susan Ward that keeps me coming back. She's a very interesting, amusing character. Will read the next.

Started this one and loving the writing style, but the story and characters not so much. Not sure if I'm going to stick with it.
I'm going to put this on the hold shelf ~ might go back and try again or maybe try another one by this author. I liked her writing just didn't care for characters or story.
