The premise was so good. Too bad the weird stuttering in the writing style was so utterly distracting (and not just a character trait exhibited by one of the characters...nope, all of them.) I struggled to get through this one but for whatever reason, I just can't give up on a book until it's done. I read the first half of this book the night before Thanksgiving; a time that probably should have been spent preparing some food ahead of time. I finished it off after all the guests left. I was beat but couldn't put it down until I finished it. Quick, easy read. Loved her conversational tone. Quite a few recipes I'd love to give a shot. And, the perfect collection of short vignettes for the Thanksgiving season, I think.
