I only read three or four before I put the book down. This is one of those authors that I will need my lifetime to digest. Lyrical right to the, and dipping a toe just past, the point of meta. ]]>

Most of the problems in Ethiopia are because of all this choosing we'll have to do.I tried to block out his voice, but his lies were gourgeous and I listened secretly.
--Also our families are there. What Dut said was that there were airplanes that came to Bahr al-Ghazal after we left, and the planes took everyone to Ethiopia. So they'll all be there when we get there. They're probably very worried about us.

This looks interesting because I like no one in it (Saunders gets a cross armed nod, I liked Hemon's 'Lazarus Project" a lot, Gay is a disengenious thief and a hack, Lutz?, Braverman?,Schutt?, Lahiri- nah, and though I am supposed to, I just don't get Dixon. It may be because he is from Baltimore and stayed there.). ]]>
I read the title story- pretty perfect, but did not make it to my favorite Salinger- but It would be my first or second reccomendation to someone else. ]]>
One star- but I only got halfway through it. It semmed to be a lot of pompous whining about nothing. I did laugh out loud in the beginnning and was swept along by the writing and pace then it just seemed the same, and that became tedious and let me start to criticize, and that means I should stop reading it this time. I'll probably give it another chance if I'm ever in jail or the ICU again. ]]>
