I'm reading Raiders of the Lost Corset by Ellen Byerrum. I'm rather disappointed in it. I thought it was going to be witty and fast-paced. Instead, it's slow moving and just not quite good enough or witty enough. I am going to finish it, because I want to know the answer to the central question in the book.

Favorite chick lit authors: Sophie Kinsella, Meg Cabot, Gemma Townley, Cecilia Ahern. Also liked these titles: The Little Lady Agency, Girls' Night Out & Girls' Night In (compilations), Bergdorf Blondes, Something Borrowed, The Accidental Bride. BTW, I just read Cocktails for Three by Madeleine Wickham, AKA Sophie Kinsella! Not as humorous as the Shopaholic series, but nicely written and kept me interested.

This book reminded of Mark Helprin's Winter's Tale, both urban fantasies that deal with magic. It was suspenseful, thought-provoking,breathtaking, intriguing and much more violent than I usually like, but I couldn't put it down.
