I'm reading this book mostly because I'm preparing to write a book with similar subject matter (romance novel set in NYC dealing with high-fashion/cosmetics industry).

UPDATE: I tried to like this, I really did. But I stopped after getting about a third of the way through and sent it back to the library. The main characters are totally unsympathetic (in addition to having absurd names, like Victory and Nico, they are whiny, spoiled, and shallow). Their situations/careers are unbelievable and Bushnell's writing style is obnoxious.
