Re-listened to this (7/4/15) in preparation for reading the final two books. This is lush and beautiful, but it felt bogged down near the middle by a lack of action (and not enough Brimstone, Issa and Zuzana).
More of Marj's books…
Jim Butcher
“If you can't stop the bad thoughts from coming to visit, at least you can make fun of them while they're hanging around.”
Jim Butcher, Turn Coat

Rick Yancey
“Perhaps that is our doom, our human curse, to never really know one another. We erect edifices in our minds about the flimsy framework of word and deed, mere totems of the true person, who, like the gods to whom the temples were built, remains hidden. We understand our own construct; we know our own theory; we love our own fabrication. Still . . . does the artifice of our affection make our love any less real?”
Rick Yancey, The Monstrumologist

Mary Oliver
“I read the way a person might swim, to save his or her life. I wrote that way too.”
Mary Oliver, Wild Geese

Libba Bray
“I'm a librarian, not an oracle.”
Libba Bray, The Diviners

Patrick Ness
Stories are wild creatures, the monster said. When you let them loose, who knows what havoc they might wreak?
Patrick Ness, A Monster Calls
