The size and style of this book looked daunting at first, but once I started it, I was up late at night to finish it. This is a funny, poignant (and occasionally terrifying) book about a woman's experience with pregnancy, her first year of motherhood, and her battle with depression.

I regularly read Heather's blog and thoroughly enjoy it, so not all of this material was new to me, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I admire and applaud her for speaking up so loudly and so honestly about her experience with depression.

I gave the book four stars instead of five only because the format of the book still has a bit of a "blog" feel to me, slightly episodic and jumping from one topic to the next. That's par for the course and enjoyable in a blog, but a little distracting in a book chapter.
