I had this book and started it and had to toss it because of damage...intend to replace it in paperback as soon as I find a decent copy.

Got a new/used copy and started over...it is very good albeit heart wrenching in parts. I loved this book. The author is very real and the setting is very stark and mysterious at the same time. I learned tons.
