When Ms. Riley gave us this book, I was so excited. My parents are always talking about this book, and now I had motivation to read it. Great characters, I actually found myself crying when Darry and Ponyboy made up and were hugging and crying. That was just so touching. And of course I cried when Johnny died. This is a fairly interesting book. A loan from Mrs. G, I actually thought it would be dreadfully boring. Even though it's just telling of basic telling of middle school happenings, (and gosh don't I have enough of that!) the writer tells it in such a way that makes me want to find out what happens.
