This was one of the best books I've read that left a deep impression in me. I'm truly amazed that Shoko-san had survived the hell she went through until today, and emerged victorious! While I was reading her book, it was as though I was watching her entire life unfold in my own mind, just like a movie. At times, I really felt that she was downright silly for letting herself go through all those crap. At times, I genuinely admired her guts for just going through it all because she brought upon it herself. I guess watching Gokusen Series 1-3 where Yankumi was the daughter of the Yakuza isn't anything compared to this. Shoko-san's was the real thing. I've also got to understand much more about what goes on in the yakuza world.
Anyway to sum up, please do read this book! *thumbs up*
