It's a good and solid crime novel, but more than 3 stars somehow seems too much for me. Maybe it's because I've been reading a lot of crime novels these days, which I usually don't, so I guess it's time to read sth else. I'm a bit tired of the struggling cop/FBI agent/whatever, who gets in the line of a killer.
Having said that, I might read the rest of the series some day, still.

Is it unfair to judge a book when you've only read half of it? Hell yeah! But to be honest, I can't be arsed to finish this. I've had it on my shelf for what? Almost two months now? And I can't get myself to care. It's the same plot as always and I can predict how it's gonna end. ]]>
Let me tell you, this was not what I expected!
It says "thriller" on the cover and the text on the back is all about a boy who thinks he's gonna turn into a serial killer one day.
So, yes, you get sth that reminds me of Dexter and his dark passenger a lot, but you also get mystery and a little bit of fantasy. I don't wanna spoil anyone, but this is NOT your usual crime novel.
Having said that, I really enjoyed reading it. John is so creepy and fascinating, a great protagonist! ]]>
