Besides being an animal lover, I love kids (esp. my own, and my grandkids)and writing for children and young adults. I enjoy the discipline of reading the Bible and seeing fulfillment of prophecies in our time. I love working on my property. My wife and I own 6 acres of manicured real estate north of Sacramento that we call Petty Park. Did I mention I love writing? Poetry, songs, short stories, screenplays and novels.

War Star Rising goes back in time, to 850 A.D. It's about a Maya princess who hates war, slavery and human sacrificing and she (Toucan Moon) makes it her goal to convince her father the emperor to ban those violent practices. Will she accomplish such a lofty endeavor? And what is that sickness in her head? And how does she fall in love while searching for the Wise One in a mysterious cave?
