I read his book Communion first and really enjoyed it, so I decided to check out some others. I liked this book. The storyline about premortal life was interesting. As a member of the LDS church, the explanation of the rebellion and war and Father's ...more

“Each of us will have our own Fridays—those days when the universe itself seems shattered and the shards of our world lie littered about us in pieces. We all will experience those broken times when it seems we can never be put together again. We will all have our Fridays. But I testify to you in the name of the One who conquered death—Sunday will come. In the darkness of our sorrow, Sunday will come. No matter our desperation, no matter our grief, Sunday will come. In this life or the next, Sunday will come.”

I bought this on the bargain rack at the store, and I'm glad I did. I love fairy tale stories. I also love stories that take a familiar story and give it a twist. Fun, easy read.

I enjoyed getting a behind the scenes look at circus life. I also enjoyed the magic aspect of it. I had a hard time connecting with the characters, though. I don't know why. They were decent enough. but a good read, nonetheless.

While I enjoyed this book and the characters and think John Green is an excellent writer, I'm only giving it 3 stars because of all the foul language in it and description of boobs and other gross stuff teenage boys talk about. John Green is definite ...more

What a fun idea for a book! I definitely learned quite a bit about gaming from it. I guess I really am a n00b. The pictures are way cool, too. My video game obsessed 7 year old son was pretty excited to read it.

I liked this book a lot more than I expected. It was well-written, and the main characters were very likeable. It made me think a lot about how I treat others, and I think it's a good read for both adults and children.
