Giovanna
Giovanna added a status update: Don't you love how sometimes people here are all "I don't judge you just because we have different opinions" and then two seconds later..."BUT YOU ARE OBVIOUSLY WRONG"? The joy. I'm really happy for you if you love a book or if you love an author...but if someone doesn't there's no reason to be pissed and chew them out. Just sayin'.

Arthur Golden
“Adversity is like a strong wind. I don't mean just that it holds us back from places we might otherwise go. It also tears away from us all but the things that cannot be torn, so that afterward we see ourselves as we really are, and not merely as we might like to be.”
Arthur Golden, Memoirs of a Geisha

John Green
“The only way out of the labyrinth of suffering is to forgive.”
John Green, Looking for Alaska

Carlos Ruiz Zafón
“Once, in my father's bookshop, I heard a regular customer say that few things leave a deeper mark on a reader than the first book that finds its way into his heart. Those first images, the echo of words we think we have left behind, accompany us throughout our lives and sculpt a palace in our memory to which, sooner or later—no matter how many books we read, how many worlds we discover, or how much we learn or forget—we will return.”
Carlos Ruiz Zafón, The Shadow of the Wind

Margaret Atwood
“Don't let the bastards grind you down.”
Margaret Atwood, The Handmaid's Tale
