Well in this case I think the "bumblers" were the drug research people who promised that they could deliver a certain amount of vaccine in a specific length of time. If they had fullfilled the promise we wouldn't be arguing about who gets it first. JMHO

As to Fraud. Fraud is brought to us in the billing process and this happens even in private insurance.
I am a firm believer in strict regulation of most things and this also goes against the grain of certain political groups who have the fantasy that any kind of business can self-regulate. It is after all another type of business.

No I am not worrying about what is going to happen to Medicare. And clearly AARP wouldn't be endorsing the bill if they were worried about Medicare. One of the problems in NY in regard to Medicare is that Counties are required to pay a high percentage of the cost. It is not done the same way in every state and the Feds have different funding going in different states. Highly unfair. That does need to be fixed.

While there is Medicare fraud it reminds me of the old stories about people receiving food stamps who were going to the supermarket wearing fur coats. Really -- give me a break.

You have Bernie Madoff doing major stock fraud and nobody thinks that they are going to shut down the stock market.

I definitely missed the original "V" but I was browsing in the TV section that comes with my newspaper and saw this. I used to watch StarTrek and was more into SciFi at one time and was thinking about picking up on this.
