false 1692547 I love to read good writing, where ever it turns up. I prefer great character to great plot, but I'll take both if I can get it. There are some great contemporary writers out there, but most of them are sloppy. I give genre fiction some slack, but I've just started getting into suspense/thriller/mystery books and for the most part, they are pretty tight.
