I really didn't like this book when I read it one summer before high school. It was boring and depressing, and I didn't understand the actions of the characters. But, once we read it for English class freshman year and I was given a little context, i ...more

I didn't really like the main character. She felt like the leftovers after Kinsella created Becky of the Shopaholic series and the "Can You Keep a Secret?" storyline. I do like that the main character, a well-employed brainiac who is framed for a cor ...more

I really hope that Kinsella adds more to this story in another book. Her upbeat writing style is charmingly used to narrate the harrowing journey of a mousy girl who just wants to make her grandpa happy and find a little happiness for herself. She is ...more

I loved this book. Becky is preggers and not sure about what sort of parent she will become. There is a lot of struggle and shopping in this book, and as always, there is that "other woman" angle that Becky can't seem to avoid.

Oh, my LORD!!!! These books are so fun to read, and they can be finished in a day. I like to read several serious books, then a candy book to reframe my perspective and have a little fun. This book definitely fits the bill. The pace is fun, and Becky ...more

Some of the stories in this book brought tears to my eyes. The narration is simple but the meaning is often profound. This is a nice way to get philosophy in chunks. There is a feeling of ageless wisdom in the storytelling, something that many author ...more
