I read it one summer when I was in middle school and have proceed to re-read many times. The author tells the story through a variety of genres such as conversations, newspaper articles, notes, letters, etc. which right away makes it unique. Through this different forms you come to learn about the characters more deeply. The subject matter is tough but important for young people. I must confess that I haven't read the other two (its part I of a triology) but its simple because I love the first one so much! I recommmed this book to young adults, adults, and teachers looking for something new, interesting and challenging for students to read. There are many activities that one can derived from the book if you think creatively! Its also a fast read for those students who cannot deal with long books!
