          <body><![CDATA[This is the book that sums up supply side economics and the Regan economic policies that brought the US out of the Carter era inflation troubles and sent the US on a 20 year bond and equity boom.  To sum the book up, moving the tax burden of citizens down the Laffer curve results in economic prosper...<a href="http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/This%20is%20the%20book%20that%20sums%20up%20supply%20side%20economics%20and%20the%20Regan%20economic%20policies%20that%20brought%20the%20US%20out%20of%20the%20Carter%20era%20inflation%20troubles%20and%20sent%20the%20US%20on%20a%2020%20year%20bond%20and%20equity%20boom.%20%20To%20sum%20the%20book%20up,%20moving%20the%20tax%20burden%20of%20citizens%20down%20the%20Laffer%20curve%20results%20in%20economic%20prosperity.%20%20So%20lower%20taxes%20and%20smaller%20government%20is%20good.%20%20We%20can%20probably%20use%20a%20dose%20of%20that%20today.%20The%20book%20also%20has%20some%20interesting%20view%20on%20world%20politics%20and%20government,%20in%20that%20every%20country%20is%20a%20democracy.%20%20Only%20some%20vote%20for%20their%20politicians%20and%20others%20speak%20their%20voices%20in%20other%20ways,%20usually%20revolution%20or%20assassination.%20%20The%20voice%20of%20the%20people%20is%20always%20heard%20in%20the%20end%20and%20is%20the%20natural%20progression%20of%20government.%20%20%0D%0A%0D%0AThis%20is%20truly%20an%20influential%20book%20and%20has%20helped%20craft%20lots%20of%20supply%20side%20economic%20policy%20that%20created%20the%20great%20economic%20booms%20of%20the%2080s.%20It%20is%20a%20great%20read%20if%20you%20want%20to%20understand%20government%20policy%20of%20the%2080s.%20%20%20There%20are%20many%20insightful%20economic%20concepts%20in%20this%20book%20and%20some%20very%20interesting%20and%20unique%20political%20viewpoints.%20%20But%20I%20find%20that%20the%20book's%20arguments%20can%20rely%20a%20bit%20too%20much%20on%20simplistic%20economic%20and%20government%20models%20that%20focus%20purely%20on%20wealth%20creation%20and%20avoid%20discussion%20of%20the%20issues%20of%20the%20modern%20social%20problems%20of%20our%20day%20such%20as%20pollution,%20poverty%20and%20social%20well%20being%20of%20the%20population.%20%20%0D%0A">more...</a>]]></body>
