Where in KS are you located? Igrew up in Fredonia, married in Wichita, Divorced in Marion, Graduated from Emporia State University in 1980. Are you near any of these. Have relatives all over the western half of the state. What would be a good read for my 3rd grade granddaughter? Most everyone here reads about the same type adult fiction/non-fiction that I do. Also, Bianca Amato & Jill Tanner narrate the unabridged version of THE THIRTEENTH TALE by Diane
Setterfield, and they do a marvelous job. All have
British accents, so that must be the key to readings
that hold the listener's attention to the end.

This was a very well-written story from the point of view of a 16-yr-old girl, Hailey, struggling with adolescence in a dysfunctional family in a poor neighborhood in New Orleans. This was a very powerful novel
