false1652442 Dangle a string of beads/gemstones in front of me and I'm dazzled! I subscribe to five different jewelry magazines and lately have spent more time looking at the magazines than making jewelry. I'm very fond of freshwater pearls in all shapes and colors.
Fascinated with ancient history, I'm also an amateur archealogy/paleontology buff and even go on digs with the 'professionals' in the area I live...when opportunity & time permit. We mostly find mammoths (or parts thereof) & 'sea monsters' from eons before the mammoth arrived since I live in an area that once was under an ancient inland sea.
I'd be lost without music, all kinds. I usually am listening to Pandora.com I-net radio while at work. Some favorites: Cowboy Junkies, Nick Drake, Joni Mitchell, Luka Bloom, Will Oldham, Ben Harper, Eddie Vedder, White Stripes, The Eels, The Shins, The Decemberists, Dave Matthews, Hope Sandoval, Iron & Wine, Mozart & most of the classical musicians, etc.
When not reading or taking time to try and keep my flowers alive (I do not have a green thumb), I watch Turner Classic Movies (TCM) station for all those great old black & white flicks, silent films & film stars: Humphrey Bogart, Janet Gaynor (especially in the silent film "Sunrise"), Cary Grant & others. Classics of the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, foreign films, silents, horror, westerns, comedies, drama...I love them all.
