This was an interesting book to read after the Twilight Saga. Its very interesting how many things are similar in both stories. Just to list a few: both are set in high school settings, both Vampires have ties to Italy, both girls attract many boys attention in school and so on.
I read this after a friend suggested it and after having seen some of the tv series. I was curious how Katherine became a vampire and it just wasn't getting covered in the shows. Its so very interesting to see how different the series and book are from each other.
