This was fun to read. Mace Perry, a cop with the Metropolitan Police in Washington DC, gets out of prison after serving two years for a crime she didn't commit. She's determined to find out who framed her and get her job back. Her sister is the Metro Chief of Police. In the meantime, a lawyer is killed and found stuffed in a refrigerator in her office by another lawyer who works closely with her. Then, a US attorney is found in a dumpster, another murder. Mace and her sister don't agree on how to solve the murder, and Mace isn't even supposed to be mixed up in solving this case, but she's a strong-willed heroine who can take care of herself. Great dialogue and interesting mystery.
