Wow, that's all I can think to say. A lot of craziness happened in this book but first a summary:
Continues with the lives of mortals and faeries as the focus goes back to Aislinn, Keenan, Donia and Seth (2nd book was more on Irial, Leslie and Neill). Seth struggles not knowing where he fits in Aislinn's world since he is weak and knows of his mortality compared to Aislinn's immortality. Aislinn struggles with wanting the best of both worlds, fighting her pull towards Keenan, learning to be a faery queen, and wanting to still have her 'mortal' life with friends and family. And Donia and Keenan struggle to know where they stand with each other.
I don't want to say more than that since it will give some of the story away but let's just say that a lot happens, especially with Seth. Wow. What I liked about this book: fast paced, interesting, new perspectives on the characters we're already come to know and love (or hate), and well written. What I didn't like about this book: the frustration of everyone doing dumb things and struggling so much with everything. It gets kind of frustrating I have to admit. But it is human nature and what everyone is dealing with makes sense with the storyline so I give it high reviews. ]]>
I didn't really like this book but first a summary (stolen from the book synopsis because it's really hard to summarize this):
The book is about two brothers who have spent their lives on the run from magic. Their father was murdered, and their mother was driven mad by magicians and the demons who give them power. The magicians are hunting the Ryves family for a charm that the mother stole and they want it enough to kill. More danger comes when a brother and sister come to the Ryves family for help. The boy wears a demon's mark, a sign of death that almost nothing can erase.
Ok, that was pretty watered down but it's a really complicated storyline. What I liked about this book: interesting idea with unexpected twists that leave you going, "Wow!". What I didn't like: hard to follow the author's writing style, selfish, one dimensional characters, and a lot going on (and I mean A LOT! You could easily miss IMPORTANT points in the book). So yeah, the book took me FOREVER to read and even though the story was interesting, I wasn't interested enough in the characters to care. ]]>
