This is a curious book. I read it almost accidentally. Everyone should consider reading it because, well, everyone dies. Some portions are a bit more in-depth than what someone not especially interested in funerary or mortuary sciences may find intriguing. Perhaps my favorite John Steinbeck novel (as long as "East of Eden" isn't within earshot).
